National Disability Insurance Scheme
The National Disability Insurance Scheme, or NDIS, is a federally run and publicly financed safety net that offers support to qualifying people with permanent and significant disabilities. This support includes access to specialist health, community and social services.
People with disabilities between the ages of 0 and 65 who reside in Australia and are either Australian citizens or possess a Permanent or Special Category Visa are eligible for the NDIS. Children under the age of 7 years with a developmental delay or disability may qualify through the NDIS Early Childhood Early Intervention approach. The NDIS eligibility questions are the best approach to determine your eligibility. If you qualify, you can submit an Access Request Form to apply to participate in the NDIS.
